The wavelength of the ultraviolet laser is 355nm, and the wavelength of the fiber laser is 1064nm. The wavelength of the ultraviolet laser is obtained by frequency doubling on the basis of the wavelength of 1064nm, and the technical difficulty is higher, which causes the price of the ultraviolet laser to be several times that of the fiber laser.

Of course, the price difference between the conventional lens and galvanometer in the market is not particularly huge.

UV laser marking machine has relatively higher requirements on the environment, needs to maintain a constant temperature, must be equipped with a water chiller, and has higher requirements for accessories. Due to the extremely small focusing spot and the small processing heat-affected zone, the UV laser can perform ultra-fine marking and special material marking. It is the preferred product for customers who have higher requirements for marking effects. In addition to copper materials, UV lasers are suitable for a wider range of materials. Not only the beam quality is good, the focusing spot is smaller, and ultra-fine marking can be realized; the scope of application is wider; the heat-affected area is extremely small, and there will be no thermal effect and no material burning problem.

The overall combination makes the price of the UV laser marking machine relatively expensive, which is mainly reflected in the high cost of the UV laser and the large labor cost in the later stage. In the early years, there was no ultraviolet laser manufacturer in China, a 3W imported UV laser marking machine also cost hundreds of thousands. With the breakthrough of domestic technical barriers, the price of 3W UV lasers has also dropped significantly. So far, pure imported top-level UV lasers have only cost tens of thousands of RMB. Therefore, the price trend of UV laser marking machines currently depends on the development of the overall domestic UV laser manufacturers and the development of market applications.
